Privacy policy

Last updated — 12 Jul 2026

Short version: the only personal data this site touches is what you type into the contact form. I use it to reply to you, and for nothing else. No cookies, no analytics, no trackers, no third-party requests.

Who I am

Xela is run by Alex, a solo developer. For anything about your data, email getxela@gmail.com — that address goes straight to me.

What this site collects

Nothing automatic. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads no third-party scripts, fonts, or pixels. Everything it serves — including the fonts — comes from this site itself.

The contact form is the one place you can give me personal data: your name, your email address, and whatever you write about your project (plus a budget range). Sending the form is entirely voluntary.

What I do with it

I read your message and reply — that's the whole purpose. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), and my legitimate interest in answering people who write to me.

Who processes it on my behalf

Transfers to US providers rely on their EU-approved safeguards (Data Privacy Framework / standard contractual clauses).

How long I keep it

Project correspondence stays in my mailbox while it's relevant to your enquiry or an ongoing project, so I can pick a conversation back up. Ask me to delete it and I will.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask me at any time to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete the data you've sent me, or object to my processing of it. Email getxela@gmail.com and I'll sort it — no forms, no runaround. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. No silent edits.
